This week we met up with Suzy Kendrick, founder and CEO of LilyBelle Communications, a boutique creative communications agency here in Ottawa. She has worked in many major cities such as Toronto, New York City and Chicago and we wanted to learn why Ottawa received the privilege of her landing here and bringing her many talents!

Music this week was from an excellent musician/showman from Ottawa, Cory Levesque. He was last seen playing at the January 4in1 sessions at Fifth Avenue Court and he was a true crowd pleaser. If you do get a chance to see him around town and want a good time, get out there!

Here is a recap of this week’s show:
– We opened with Your Home is Here with Me off of Cory’s second album
– How she ended up in Ottawa?
– Where she worked in Toronto, New York City and Chicago
– What she likes to do in the summer and the winter in Ottawa
– Stopping off at the Canal Ritz after a canal skate
– She is a big fan of Whalesbone and the Manx
– We spoke about the Kitchen Takeover at Oz Kafe
– The collaboration of chefs and foodies in Ottawa
– Her one hidden gem in Ottawa (Captiva Farms for Horseback riding)
– What she likes in a home

Our second song was “The Time will Come” by Cory Levesque

After the break we discussed:
– How LilyBelle Communications came about
– Her foray into entrepreneurism
– The website launching on January 1, 2013
– Her present clients now Richcraft and Reno Video Productions
– Plans for the future
– How she gauges if her services would be of value to a potential client
– Why Ottawa is getting better in terms of talent retention in the PR field

The three events I spoke about was the Won’t You be a Teja’s Valentine- Fundraiser Bash, Online Raffle to Help Ottawa Fur Kids, and CHUO’s fundraiser.

Thank you so much for joining us Suzy, it is a pleasure knowing you and we are excited to see you grow in your profession, we know you will!

We close with Pickin’ Through the Shards by Cory Levesque, enjoy!
