What I Do With Your Information
If you fill in a form on this site, your name, phone number and email come to me by email and I reply to you. I do not sell your details, I do not pass them to advertisers, and there is no tracking or advertising script anywhere on this website.

Three plain facts, before the detail.
I only ask for what I need
A name, a phone number, an email and your question. That is all a form on this site collects. You choose what goes in the message box.
It comes to me, not to a list
Your enquiry lands in my inbox so I can answer it. It is not added to a mailing list. There is no newsletter running on this site.
Nothing is following you
This site loads no analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking script. I cannot see who you are unless you tell me. Two Google services do load: the fonts on every page and the map on the contact page. Both are listed below.
Every way you can reach me, and where it goes
Some buttons on this site hand you over to another company. Here is which, and what they get.
The contact forms on this site
- What it collects
- Your name, phone number, email address, the enquiry type you pick and whatever you type in the message box.
- Who handles it
- The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. It passes your message straight to my inbox at nick@mortgageinottawa.com. I read it and reply to you myself.
Please do not put a SIN, a bank account number or a document in the message box. Those belong in the secure application portal, never in a web form or an email.
Book a meeting
- What it collects
- Whatever the booking page asks for when you pick a time, normally your name, email and the slot you choose.
- Who handles it
- The booking button leaves this website for Zoho Bookings, which runs my calendar. Your booking is held there and appears in my calendar.
Once you leave this site, Zoho’s own terms apply to that page.
Apply Now
- What it collects
- A full mortgage application, which is far more than a web form: income, employment, down payment and identity details.
- Who handles it
- The Apply button leaves this website for the Referral Mortgages Inc. application portal. That is the brokerage system I work inside, and it is where your documents belong.
This is the secure route for anything sensitive. If you are unsure whether something should go in a form or the portal, put it in the portal.
WhatsApp, phone and email
- What it collects
- Your phone number or email address, plus whatever you send me.
- Who handles it
- These are direct: WhatsApp messages run through WhatsApp, calls through my phone, email to my inbox. Nothing passes through this website.
WhatsApp is convenient for a quick question. It is not the place for your pay stubs.
The fonts this site uses
- What it collects
- Nothing I receive.
- Who handles it
- The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for the font files when a page loads. That request carries your IP address, the same as any file your browser fetches from another site.
It is on every page, not just this one, which is why it is listed here rather than hidden in a footnote. Google gets no report from me and I get no report from Google.
The map on the contact page and in the footer
- What it collects
- Nothing I receive.
- Who handles it
- The map is a Google Maps frame showing my office. Loading it means your browser talks to Google, the same as opening Google Maps yourself.
I get no report of who looked at the map.
Asking me what I hold
You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete an enquiry you sent. Email me at nick@mortgageinottawa.com or call 613 294 4475 and say so plainly. You do not need a special form of words.
One limit worth knowing: once you have started a mortgage application, the file belongs to the brokerage record, not to my inbox. Records tied to a submitted application are held by Referral Mortgages Inc. under the rules that apply to a licensed mortgage brokerage, and I cannot delete those on request. Ask me and I will point you to the right person there.

What this page is not
It describes what this website does with a message you send me. It is a plain explanation, not the brokerage's own privacy policy and not legal advice.
Referral Mortgages Inc. holds the policy that governs a live mortgage file, including how long application records are kept. If you want that document, ask me and I will get it to you.
